National Center of Pathology has been invited to join the EMPAIA (EcosysteM for Pathology Diagnostics with AI Assistance) organization as a Reference Center. This prestigious partnership will provide opportunities to enhance pathology diagnostics using artificial intelligence solutions.
EMPAIA is an organization that unites scientific institutions, technology providers, and pathology centers. Its goals are to create, test, and improve AI algorithms, ensure data interoperability, and strengthen patient pathology diagnostic capabilities. The initiative follows an open ecosystem principle and offers a forum for discussions and knowledge exchange among all ecosystem partners.
"EMPAIA is currently one of the most active network ensuring the interaction between digital pathology and artificial intelligence. Being a reference center in this network is a significant recognition and a unique opportunity to collaborate with leaders in digital pathology," says professor Arvydas Laurinavičius, director of National Center of Pathology.
The cooperation agreement between National Center of Pathology and EMPAIA was signed on the eve of the 20th European Congress of Digital Pathology. This year, the congress, held in Vilnius, will bring together 400 experts and professionals from around the world, ready to share the latest advancements in digital pathology and insights into the future of pathology diagnostics.
